grit.cx Issue 003 is Here!

In our ongoing quest to bring you all that is righteous in the world of #dirtydropbargoodness, we present issue 003 of the grit.cx digital magazine.

We’re quite proud of this issue. It’s packed with stories around the lifestyle of cyclocross racing, and the investigations of what happens when one explores (and pushes past) the boundaries of expectation. We find the stories in this issue inspiring and motivating.

Ben Popper's Rig Up High.

Ben Popper is back with us, as he sets out on an adventure of epic proportions in the Pacific Northwest, while Greg May shares his passion for cyclocross racing in Ireland and the United Kingdom (as well as an adventure in Cuba). Karen Brooks heads out on a multi-day adventure in West Virginia, and Julian Thrasher realizes dreams come true when he’s able to watch the pros, and the race the same course the next day, at the Milton Keynes Cyclocross World Cup.

Klaas Vantornout

We review bikes from Salsa, Engineered and Trek, and Dave Haygarth looks at nine different handlebar tapes in our bar tape group test. Vicki Barclay explores the differences between women’s cyclocross racing in the United States and the United Kingdom. Klaus Bellon spends some time with Belgian Cyclocross Champion Klaas Vantornout, and we get to know Kevin Pauwels a little more. Our columnists Simon Burney and Bruce Dalton check in with us again, and we’re stoked to introduce Richard Fries as our newest columnist!

You’ll also get to check out a nice gallery of some rad photography from Dylan VanWeelden.

While it might sound cliché, there really is a lot more to check out, so come on and…well…check it out!
