Eurobike 2015: Gore Bike Wear
Gore has long been the name to trust in outerwear when the weather turns foul. It may seem like just yesterday you donned your first GORE-TEX jacket, but 2015 marks 30 years of keeping outdoor adventures dry for the company. To commemorate the milestone, they’ve released a 30th anniversary kit with the Oxygen jacket as the pinnacle piece.
As for new product designs, Gore has redesigned their Xenon, Oxygen and Power men’s bibs with a new seat insert which has a cup shape designed specifically for the male anatomy. Other improvements include a windproof/breathable front along with redesigned straps and hems designed to sit flat and move more comfortably with the rider.
Up top Gore has incorporated their WINDSTOPPER technology into cycling jerseys taking a single garment approach to all day rides. The result is a short sleeve or long sleeve jersey that can be worn in a variety of climates by either incorporating or eliminating a base layer. The long sleeves are removable with a zipper at the shoulder eliminating the need for toting arm warmers along.
On the outside, Gore is launching the new Rescue WS AS Jacket. At just 123 grams, it’s designed to pack small and be your saving grace when the weather takes a turn for the worst. It’s windproof and water resistant with a high level of breathability. The half zip and close-fitting hood, designed be worn under the helmet, allows you to seal in body heat.
