Received: GT Grade Alloy Sora
Could this be a summer adventurer and a winter commuter? We’re planning on finding out. This is the GT Grade Alloy Sora.
The bargain sibling of the much vaunted GT Grade Carbon, this Alloy Sora has an RRP of just £749.99
As the name suggests, it’s an alloy frame, with a carbon fork.
The off the shelf version comes with Kenda Kwest 700×28 tyres. Perhaps more suitable for a few loose chippings proper than gravel riding, but we think there’s room for something a little bigger.
As the name suggests, we have a Shimano Sora groupset with 50/34T up front…
…and 11/28 on the back.
Stopping comes from Tektro mechanical disc brakes with 160mm rotors.
The paint job is nice and simple…
…with a dark blue metallic base. It’s really quite subtle – not at all disco. First impressions are that it’s a fine looking bike for a bargain price. We’ll let you know how it rolls shortly.
